The class of economy cars or compact cars essentially refers to cars that are small, light and are relatively inexpensive to buy. These cars because of their smaller interiors are mostly preferred by people buying used cars for sale for the first time, single owners or couples. However, even these economy cars are specially designed and are not just smaller versions of the bigger luxury cars. We mention here some eagerly awaited cars.

Honda Civic and Honda Fit

The Honda Civic is popular among consumers and critics alike. In fact, the Consumer Guide’s editors had named Honda Civic as one of the best buys among economy cars. Obviously with such success, Honda Civic is not going to have too many changes made to it. Whatever the changes, the aim will be to refine the existing features rather than reinvent anything. Also, the Honda Fit has received a very good reception because of its great fuel efficiency and smart packaging. Honda Fit is expected to come in with even better fuel efficiency and improved features.

Mazda 6
Mazda 6 has loads of improvement over its predecessor and has combined great ease of driving with great style and use of very high-quality materials. Though a small car, it offers plenty of interior and trunk space in contrast to many of the same cars in the market.

Toyota Corolla XRS

Some consider the Corolla as a slight misfit in the listing of top economy cars compared to the Honda Civic, Honda Fit and Mazda6 which are all extremely stylish and provide great performance. However, the Corolla for all its conservative appearance is one of the most dependable models in the market. Toyota Corolla XRS does not go in for too many improvisations, but continues to provide its users good value for their money.

Nissan Maxima

The Nissan Cars was one of the leading models in the near-luxury segment and the Nissan Cars hopes to regain that spot once again. The Maxima has been completely redesigned, giving it a more sporty look and in fact, is being touted as the new four-door sports car. For young college students on to their first jobs, the Nissan Maxima could prove to be a major attraction.

Mitsubishi Lancer GTS

The Mitsubishi Lancer has continued to improve both in terms of technology and performance, resulting in slightly higher prices. With extremely good fuel economy, Used Mitsubishi Car gives a powerful driving experience at a reasonable price.

Chevrolet Aveo

Chevrolet Aveo comes with quite a few positive facelifts including new headlights, tail lamps, front grille and rear spoiler. The interior too has been well designed with quality material and its specifications match up to the best of them.

Dodge Challenger

The Dodge Challenger is an old favorite and Dodge Challenger SE with all its good old features just reminds people of why. The new Challenger too is a big car, with a powerful engine delivering an impressive yet quiet driving experience on the road. With a Dodge Challenger you can be assured of a smooth, comfortable ride for a reasonable price.

3. Los Angeles Chevrolet

Chevrolet Los Angeles is the most searched for American car on the Los Angeles list, blowing away its closest American rivals Ford Los Angeles and Dodge Los Angeles. But it’s still only number three on the top ten list of cars. Just under 300,000 searched for Chevrolet Los Angeles. So even though it’s not number one or two on the list, it still beats seven other car companies on this list.

8. Acura Los Angeles

Acura Los Angeles, the luxury division of Honda, comes in eighth place with close to 115,000 searches. Acura has recently updated the looks of many of the tired looking cars in its lineup. 9. Los Angeles Nissan

Rounding out the list of Japanese cars in the top 10 is Nissan Los Angeles. Close to 90,000 Los Angelinos searched for Nissan car in Los Angeles last month. Nissan’s luxury division, Infiniti, didn’t make it into the top 10.

10. Dodge Los Angeles

Clinging to the number 10 spot is Dodge Los Angeles. Dodge is the last of the American automakers to make the list. Fewer than 85,000 people searched for Dodge Los Angeles last month. Based on the American automakers’ struggle in the past few years, the number ten spot is still decent for Dodge Los Angeles.
